Events Calendar

The Club Prides itself on being a centre of enjoyment for members, and delights in offering a range of events throughout the year that are designed to satisfy the interests of all members. From black tie events and wine luncheons to guest speaker workshops, history lectures, theatre nights, cocktail parties, garden parties and barbeques, cooking experiences, quiz nights, and Friday nights in the bar, there is always something happening at the Club.

Reciprocal Clubs

Whether travelling for business or pleasure members have the opportunity to enjoy the Club’s reciprocal arrangements with over 80 interstate and overseas prestigious clubs. Members are encouraged to make use of these clubs that are located in the heart of some of the world’s most iconic cities and provide meals and accommodation at very reasonable rates.

Convenience of Location

Local members appreciate the Club’s convenient location in the south-east corner of the central business district.

For the information of reciprocal club members who wish to stay at the Club this is a quiet sector of the city, but within close proximity to Adelaide’s main attractions. Nearby are the Hutt Street cafes and restaurants, and a short walk will bring guests to the bustling Chinatown and Central Market areas. Here also is Victoria Square, which is the base for the international Tour Down Under cycling event, and where one can catch the Entertainment-City-Glenelg tram. In the opposite direction is the East Parklands. Not only is this parklands area a centre for various motor events and the renown international Four Day Equestrian Event, but it is also an ideal setting for an outdoor barbeque among the olive trees.

The city’s main shopping area, together with the East and West End entertainment districts are in close proximity, as is the Adelaide Railway Station, Festival Theatre, Museum, Art Gallery, Adelaide Oval and the National Wine Centre.

The Club is a short taxi ride from the Adelaide Airport and the National Railway Terminal, and is ideally suited for those who wish to explore the city, or to use the Club as a base for touring the Adelaide Hills, Barossa and McLaren Vale wine districts.

The Club’s car park only adds to the convenience of the Club’s location.

Wine and Dining Facilities

The dining options offered by the Club gives members a choice between a ‘silver service’ fine dining experience or a more relaxed club meal in one of the Member’s areas.  Whether it be business entertaining, dinner with friends, or an intimate dinner for two the Club’s ambience, together with the Club’s accomplished chef and skilled staff, will satisfy the highest expectations of members and guests.

The Club is proud to offer an exclusive cellar of premium wines available for consumption on the premises or to purchase for home or as gifts. The cellar offerings represent good value for money, especially when members place bulk orders during the sale of Club discounted wine.

Monthly Billing

For the convenience of members the Club offers a monthly billing system. Furthermore, the Club also offers a direct debit system so members do not have to worry about missing a payment

Business Facilities

The Club is more than happy to assist members with their business and networking needs. There is a range of meeting rooms available to seat from 4 to 80 persons, as well as the Imperial Room that may be used for larger conference type meetings. Printing and scanning facilities, together with wifi, desk and power facilities, and a selection of mobile phone chargers are available. In short, the Club can provide all that is needed for it to be a member’s temporary office.

Business Lounge

An intimate lounge is located on the Club’s upper landing, and is an ideal location for those members or guests who have business to conduct while visiting the Club. In addition to comfortable lounge chairs there is a desk with a computer, printer and scanner.

Members Bar

The rich colours and ambience of the Members Bar is a stand out feature of the Club. It is a convivial place where members can escape from the city for a quiet drink, to celebrate an occasion with friends and other members, or to nestle into a cubicle to read one of the complimentary papers.

The Member’s Bar is located on the ground floor and offer a more casual social environment where members may dispense with jacket and tie (refer to Dress Standards).


The Club offers boutique-style accommodation, consisting of four elegantly, well appointed ensuite rooms at most competitive rates for members, guests and reciprocal club members.

Included in the rates is onsite car parking and provision for a continental breakfast.

Social and Recreation Clubs

In addition to the events listed in the Events Calendar the Club is pleased to provide a range of other social and recreational activities. These activities, such as billiards and snooker, golf, sporting guns, bridge, and mahjong are managed by members who encourage other members, irrespective of knowledge or skill levels, to join the fun.

Applying for Membership

Seeking Membership

The Naval Military and Air Force Club of South Australia welcomes discerning ladies and gentlemen from all walks of life, and offers a range of membership categories that cater for individual and corporate memberships.

Application Process

Ladies and gentlemen wishing to join the Club are asked to complete an Application Form and arrange for existing members of the Club to sign the Application Form as their proposer and seconder.

Don’t know an existing Club member?

A person who does not know any existing member to propose them is still welcome to submit an Application Form. The Chair of the Membership and Marketing Committee will contact them to discuss their application and arrange for it to be considered by the Committee.

Completed applications for membership are forwarded to the Club’s Membership and Marketing Committee where they are tabled for consideration. The Committee meets once a month and when applications for membership have been endorsed the full name and address of the proposed members will be listed on the Club’s notice board and in the Club’s newsletter. Application for membership will then be forwarded to the Board for final consideration and approval.
