Events Calendar

From black tie events to monthly wine luncheons, Friday afternoon Aperitivos, guest speaker workshops, historical lectures and holiday parties; there is always something happening at the Club. We offer a variety of different functions to ensure there is always something on to interest all of our members.

Reciprocal Clubs

When you travel for business or pleasure, we have reciprocal arrangements with over 80 clubs in Australia and worldwide. For the frequent traveller, the pleasure of staying in private clubs gives a level of comfort and service unequalled in the sterile environment of commercial hotels, all at very competitive rates and central locations. Convenience of Location

The Naval, Military and Air Force Club of South Australia is conveniently located in the south east corner of the central business district of Adelaide, with easy car or taxi access to the freeway, airport and rail terminal.

It is within walking distance of the Theatres, Museum, Art Gallery, National Wine Centre, and in close proximity to the world renowned Adelaide Oval and Rymill Park which plays host to a number of major sporting events such as the Clipsal 500 Touring Car Race and the Adelaide Four Day equestrian Event.

Wine and Dining Facilities

Here at The Club we offer two dining options for members – our fine dining experience or an informal club meal in one of the Members areas. Be it business entertaining, dinner with friends, or an intimate dinner for two we can meet your needs and exceed your expectations. If you are wanting to entertain a larger crowd for business or pleasure then we have alternative menu options including cocktail, formal sit down menus and delegates packages.

The Naval, Military and Air Force Club of South Australia has an extensive cellar of premium wines available for consumption on the premises or to purchase take away. Your preferred beverages represent value for money and, upon selection, can be charged to you as a Club member on a monthly basis. For your convenience, wine purchases may be collected from the Club and members may even place bulk orders for our discounted wine of the month offerings.

Monthly Billing

The Club has a monthly billing system as a means of convenience for members, we offer a direct debit system to ensure that you never have to worry about missing a payment.

Business

The Club offers free wifi, desk and power facilities, as well as a selection of mobile phone chargers. Printing and scanning facilities are also available to ensure that the Club will as a temporary office for all our members. There are a range of meeting rooms available to seat from 4-12 pax. Members Bar

A great place to relax after work and meet old and new friends, alike. Whether you want to catch a light lunch, bury yourself in one of our complimentary papers, the Members Bar is your private escape in the city.

Accommodation

The Club has boutique-style accommodation which provides four elegantly, well-appointed ensuite rooms’ at most competitive rates for members, guests and reciprocal club visitors.

How to Apply for Membership

The Naval Military and Air Force Club of South Australia, located in the historic Landunna House, offers a wide range of membership benefits and caters for individual and corporate membership. Application Process

The Membership and Recruitment Committee is held on the second Wednesday of each month. It is at this meeting where your application form will be tabled for consideration. Once the committee has endorsed your application for membership, your full name and details will be listed on our Club notice board along with the other proposed new members for that month. After a two-week waiting period the outcome of your application for membership will finalised at the monthly Board Meeting.

The application process can take anywhere between 2 – 6 weeks.

Applicants are requested to arrange for a proposer and a seconder to sign their application form and to provide two references (not required for business applications). Applicants who do not know an existing member to propose them are still welcome to apply and the Club’s Chair of Membership Committee will contact you.

Membership Categories

Full Member

Most of our members fall under this category.

Serving Member

To qualify as a Serving Officer under the Club Constitution a member must be a permanent serving member of the Australian Defence Force, a reserve member of the Australian Defence Force rendering effective service as defined by the member’s service and who are below the 0-6 Rank level [i.e. Captain (RAN), Colonel, Group Captain, or Chief Superintendent] or serving members of South Australian Police.

Absentee

Resides overseas, interstate or outside the Adelaide metropolitan area as defined by insurance postcodes for at least nine months of the year.

Young Member

Under the age of 40 at the time of annual subscription renewal (or application).

Associate Member

A spouse of a current Naval, Military and Air Force Club member.

Business Membership

Business Principal

The principal member that signs up as a business member. To qualify as a a business member a minimum of two people need to join from the same organisation – 1 Principal Member and 1 Business Associate (see below).

Business Associate

A business membership may have up to 10 Business Associate members. Business Associate members only pay 75% of full membership fees.

What is the Voucher?

If you are applying for a membership category that includes the voucher then your ‘total amount’ is inclusive of a $200.00 credit. This credit will be put onto your account at the time of joining, or membership renewal, and is valid for the full financial year. If you are applying for membership within 4-months of the EOFY then the $200.00 charge will be waived.
