House Rules & Dress Standards
These are the standards by which all members and guests at The Naval, Military and Air Force Club of South Australia are obliged:
General
Mobile phones are not to be used in any public area of the Club premises, but if the need arises the phone may be switched to inaudible mode and attended to in an area not in public use.
Smoking is not permitted within the Club's premises.
Dress Standards
Main Dining Room & Imperial Room
Gentlemen are expected to wear a jacket and tailored trousers with collar and tie at all times, unless a more formal dress such as lounge suit, black tie or uniform is specified.
Special Function Rooms (Gallipoli, Air Force and Colonel Downes rooms)
Smart casual attire is permitted until 6.30pm, after which, formal dress as per the Main Dining room, applies
Other areas of the Club (Bar, Billiard Room, garden, foyer, upstairs)
Smart casual attire is permitted at all times.
Ladies
Ladies should dress conservatively and follow the same formal or smart casual dress code as gentlemen. Trousers, when worn, must be tailored. (Shorts, leggings, denim material, jeans, T shirts, tracksuits, training shoes and similar casual wear are not permitted.)
Guests
Please ensure that any guests you may bring into the Club also meet the above requirements.
Smart casual attire
Smart casual attire for gentlemen means tailored trousers, shirts with collars and sleeves (long or short,) worn with or without a jacket or tie, or worn with conservative pullover. (Leather/fleece jackets, sweatshirts, jeans, denim of any colour, casual type sports/ leisure wear, rolled sleeves or athletic footwear are not permitted)
