Committee
The General Committee is elected
by the members to govern the Club in the interests of the members and in
accordance with statutory and legal requirements. It comprises a President and Vice President
and a number of elected members charged with the responsibility of managing the
Club's affairs in order to operate the Club in the best and most efficient
manner possible having regard to member and legal requirements. Factionalism is discouraged. All
formal complaints from members shall be directed to the General Committee and
be dealt with by the Committee.
The two principle sub-committees
are concerned with House and Property and Finance, Audit & Risk but there are various other
informal sub-committees connected with events and activities within the Club,
while these sub-committees have no direct authority and must keep the General
Committee informed of what they are doing.

LTCOL R.W. (Reg)
Williams, RFD
A Senior Manager, Network Enterprise Services, Telstra Corporation Ltd. Reg served four years on the General Committee 2000-2004 including the Member Finance Sub Committee and Chairman of the Marketing Sub Committee. A member of the Active Army Reserves for 32 years (1965-1996) culminating in his appointment as Honorary Colonel 3rd / 9th Light Horse (SAMR) between 2000-2005, Reg is a patron and life member SAMR Association. Reg has also been President of Scouts Australia (SA Branch) since 2006 following his stint as Chief Commissioner between 2000 and 2006.

CMDR A. (Andrew) Burnett RANR
Andrew has 30 years service in both the Permanent and Reserve Navy in a variety of roles, but finally as a legal officer after qualifying as a solicitor through the Navy. He transferred to the Navy Reserve 2002 and worked in private legal practice for 4 years. He commenced fulltime Reserve employment with the Navy in 2006 with the Air Warfare Destroyer Program as the Assistant Director Operations and he remains in that role. Andrew has undertaken two operational deployments; East Timor in 2001 and Gulf War 2 in HMAS Sydney in 2003. He was a member of the General Committee 2001 - 2005.

Whitbread
A Chartered Accountant, recently retired Partner now Consultant to Deloitte Adelaide, David is a Director of / board advisor to a number of high profile SA and New Zealand based companies. David has been a member of the General Committee and Finance Sub Committee since 2006.

Mr M.J.
(Michael) Willson, AM
Michael has been involved in assisting with the writing of Governmental Acts and has advised various Ministers in the areas of Local Government, Rural Issues, Environment, Tourism and Regional Strategic Planning and Development. Up until retirement, Michael was a life-long resident of Kangaroo Island, a grazier who divided his time in the last 25yrs to also working in Adelaide with his consulting business.

Ms E.
(Elizabeth) Connolly
Elizabeth is a commercial / property lawyer, notary and mediator with her own city-based practice. She has undertaken post-graduate qualifications /studies in conflict management, environment and urban & regional planning. She has had committee/board/proprietorial interests and experience at international, Federal and State level including (but not limited to) advisory position to UNCTAD, Federal Ministers of Small Business and Consumer Affairs and two State Attorneys General.

CAPT P.D. (Phil) De Courcey
Having served in the Australian Regular Army from 1977-1990, Phil is a qualified accountant with a strong business background, holding a B. Commerce and MBA. Phil continues to have a strong network and involvement with the Defence Industry in South Australia and the SA Government.

WGCDR P.J.
(Peter) Summers, OAM
A business and quality systems management consultant, Peter has previously owned businesses in engineering, public relations, marketing and food. Chairman of the Defence Reserves Support - SA, State Committee and a member of the National Council, he recently retired as Chairman of LeisureCo New Zealand. Peter is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Senior Fellow of the Corporate Directors Association of Australia.

COL K. (Keith)
Bleechmore
Having served in the Australian Army (fulltime) 1964-1985 and Reserves 1986-1993 and 1995-1998, Keith is now retired, a former CEO of AMCA / NFIA. Having served on the General Committee, Keith held the position of President 1997-1999 and again as interim President for a five month period in 2008.

MAJ T.R. (Terry)
Hassam
Served in the Royal Australian Army Reserve (then CMF) 1964-1992, Terry is now employed by the SA Country Fire Service as Manager Bushfire Safety. Following the development and support of the Club Website in 2002, Terry has served on the Marketing Sub Committee (2003) and Communications Sub Committee (2004)
