President's Welcome

Dear Member
Welcome to your home away from home. Our motto, Pro Aris et Focis - "for hearth and home" says it all. Please make yourself at home and enjoy the wonderful facilities and the special friendship that the Club offers.
Whilst the Naval, Military and Air Force Club of South Australia was originally established of officers of the South Australian military forces - today, you as a Club Member will enjoy the company of likeminded Members, both men and women from the professions, business and government as well as both retired and currently serving members of the Australian Defence Force.
Our Club, with its military decor and background provides an environment that is unique in South Australia. It has a rich heritage and a special character that is warmly accepted by all who experience it. Although our military Members are diminishing in numbers with the advancing years, their strong sense of camaraderie and community spirit is an integral part of the Club's ethos.
A Club such as ours is only as good as it's Members and the active envolvement of Members in the social affairs of the Club is important, not only for new Members to get to know other Members, but to create the vibrant and dynamic environment that is necessary for the Club to be successful. You can see from the Events program that there is a wide range of Events scheduled throughout the year, mostly concerned with enjoying fine food and wine in the company of close friends, new and old. There may be occasions when all you want is a coffee, a comfortable chair and some quiet time to read the paper or a book from our extensive library, or to play cards with a few friends. Our friendly and accommodating staff can arrange almost anything for you.
This website provides you with relevant and up-to-date information about the Club's operations including its exceptional dining experiences, Event-packed calendar, function and conferencing facilities, elegantly-appointed accommodation, reciprocity with Clubs from around the world and a great deal more. Alternatively, please feel free to contact one of our staff at the Club, should you require any additional information.
On behalf of the members of the Club I warmly welcome you into the 'family' and trust that you enjoy your time with us as a lifelong Member or as a reciprocal Member on a short visit to Adelaide.
